On Monday, March 24, Darren's paternal grandmother celebrated her 88th birthday. Marie is such a wonderful woman, and her love for God is evident in all that she says and does. She *always* tells us how much she loves us. When I asked her how she felt about turning 88, she laughed and said that when she was in her 60's that she used to think that people in their 80's were ancient. Then she added, "Well, I guess I'm getting to be ancient."She makes the BEST sugar cookies and homemade cake with chocolate icing. Several years ago, she traded 2 dozen of her famous sugar cookies for 5 autographed Nolan Ryan baseballs.
