Happy Thanksgiving!!

Just a quick post to say happy thanksgiving! I hope that you were surrounded by lots of loving family and friends today and enjoyed lots of yummy food.


My younger sister and her daughter drove down from the DFW area, and my mom, step-dad, grandmother, and 2 uncles came over for Thanksgiving lunch. We had lots of great food and company.


Cupcake helped set the table and she did an awesome job decorating the table. She picked up the leaves and dry grass stuff out of our neighbor's yard to decorate around our miniture pumpkins. She then put out some of the small votive candles that my friend Kim O. sent. Cupcake *loves* decorating!!


After a long day of company and food, we sat down to watch the Cowboy game and relax. Of course, Cupcake, my sister and I all fell asleep. Travis and Bailey played outside, and Darren was left to watch the game by himself. I'm sure he enjoyed the quiet house. :-)


I am *loving* the cooler weather that we are having here today!! Yesterday at this time, 5:50 p.m., the temperature was about 83* F. Right now it is a cool, refreshing 51*. About 2 hourse ago, my sister talked to one of her friends in the Fort Worth area, and he told her that it was snowing there!!


Today is a day to give thanks to the One who has given us abundant blessings. What are some of the things that YOU are thankful for? I am thankful for so many things--big and small--but here are a few of the things that I always thank God for:
1. God being a loving and gracious God
2. healthy children, spouse, family, and self
3. lots of loving family and friends
4. warm, safe place to live
5. sweet neighbors


Now here are some of the things that I find myself thanking God for as I go along my daily life:
1. central air and heat (I love being comfortable!!)
2. beautiful sunrises or sunsets
3. kind people
4. technology


The 9 things that I've listed are just the tip of the iceberg. Like I said earlier, I am thankful for SO MANY things.
